Favorite Friday Photo- My boys

Almost twelve years ago I became the Mom of a son.  I was pretty convinced that I could never truly relate to a son.  After all what would we have in common?  Fast forward until now and I would say being the Mom of sons has changed me.

I do not believe I will ever "speak" their language, and that is more than ok.  I have learned they really need to "wrestle" it out and just simply be boys.  I am working my hardest to prepare them to be good and loving husbands if they choose.  I know they have so much in common with their Dad, but there is a part of them that is reserved just for me!

I took these photos as part of a photography assignment. I never really am in front of the camera but one day my children may want photos of me.

Another week is done. It has been a good week and hoping for a great weekend!

Sunday Snapshot- A week in review

Photos of our week:
-Yes the girls are learning to knit.  Love that they want to learn and hoping to not untie too many knots.
-If you read a book about a shark you must have one sitting next to you.
-Special yarn for a special sweater.

Riley worked so hard on many projects this week.  One was about the Olympics and he did a report on Alpine skiing. I was invited to come which lead to one of those proud Mom moments.

A great ski slope complete with a Lego ski guy.

We are having beautiful spring like weather with a hint of snow from last week in the yard.  Grateful for it all.

Wishing you a beautiful Sunday!

Little by little Thursday

A quite morning with a little coloring.

These are the moments to remember.  These two are growing up too fast and they can be the best of buddies.

Sunday Snapshot- Our week in photos

Lots of little moments this past week.  Miss Katie made this card for me.  Loving the "You Rock" comment because let's face it as parents we are not always rocking in coolness.
A trip to the antique store lead me to this colander.  It was on my list to "find".  Oh how I love an antique store!

My rock in life on Valentine's day. He is the calm in our life.
-A trip to the mountains with girlfriends last weekend! So relaxing.

-A new hat knit for Brianna

-Frost many days this week

-Those little hearts I so need to avoid

Little by Little Thursday- Day by Day photos

Last weeks photos of the day.
I have always wanted one of these cake plates. Not to put cakes on but for a decoration.  A great thrift shop find!

Snow and cold was the theme last week.  Lots of snow days lots of together time.

After two days inside we could not take it anymore we went "sledding". More like rock sledding but outside felt great!
A boy scout fundraiser and a little craft time.

A cousin who is very missed and remembered.  I didn't know anything about photography then, but this is one of the photos that means the most to me. He left this world to early but will always be remembered.  Made my heart heavier this week.

LittlebyLittle Thursday: An Afternoon in the City

My youngest sister gives us an event to attend as our Christmas gift. This year it was to see the play "Girls Only: The Secret Comedy of Women". If you ever have the opportunity to see this play I highly recommend it. I can't ever remember laughing that hard.  Every scenario they came up with was real life to women.

I may never forget the new version of the "Nutcracker" dance while they struggled putting on nylons.  I know you had to be there to get that but believe me the whole play was so funny!

Thanks Tam for a wonderful afternoon in the city!

The Gym

Last week I had a few moments in the gym with my nieces. The light was less than desirable but the smiles from these two were amazing.

Miss Railyn being a little social and taking a break!

Oh yes a little wave for me....love my Aunt job!

Tough Miss Abby and is that a dance move I see???

A snowy weekend and preps for the big game.  We love football here but we LOVE the Bronco's.  Tomorrow a blue and orange party.

I will be back tomorrow with our photos from the last week!
