Oh my gosh is it truly June 25th. I meant to post on Fathers Day but today will work also. Father's day was nice and good day for the kids to acknowledge all Brian does for them. Sometimes he is so behind the scenes at work but we have so much to be grateful for. He is a wonderful father, husband, and person. He is the rock and glue that holds us all not so calm people together. We found an activity to do that all 6 of us can participate in! Miniature golf it is. It is funny to watch the little ones golf but they are so cute. So that was our big father's day outing.
Andy has surgery for a circumcision on Monday. A controversial surgery even in this house. My poor baby was very sore and just laid around. So not like him. Today after 3 days he is doing better and acting more like our Andy. I am grateful for that as to see him in more pain just about kills me. My mind is on overload to think about how much he has gone through...now we hope for peace with his body for a long time!

Andrew - Gotcha Day one year later
In china-Cherrios Won him over, and look at him now our big boy!
It has be a year since our Gotcha Day of our dear little boy. Where did that year go and how has he changed. In so many ways he doesn't even look like the boy we brought home but that shining personality is the same. He has the most outgoing personality I have ever meet and just loves people. Was this coping skills in the orphanage or just Andy. A little of both we believe. He was loved in China and our hearts always go back to the people who loved him there. What would they say now. Andy loves to play with all his heart and soul. He loves to bounce, jump, and run all hours of the day. He has learned that vegetables are a battle between Mom and him:), and that a cookie is a fine treat. He loves the water, snow and all in between. He has no fears while his Mom must face hers with him! I am amazed with him and who he is. A year ago I waited up all night for Brian or my parents to call and tell me about our son. I was so sad to not be there to see him for the first time. Now I get to kiss him as much as I want, if I can catch him:). God is good. The path to Andy was not always easy but he knew he needed us and we needed him. It has been an awesome year. We have our problems, just as any family, but at the end of the day we are so blessed with children. Mr Andrew has changed us all and I can not imagine my life without him! Happy Family Day Andrew we love you so!

June 4 2009
First things first...Happy Birthday to my little sister Tam. Today is a day we share with our birthdays! We spent this day at the beach. The kids had a ball. Katie even played today even though walking with a little sand in her shoes is totally out of the question. Riley could not get enough. I think Brianna was a little tired today and wanted some cuddle time. Never turn that down . Andy, well he loved the sand and was constantly playing. We got to do a little shopping today and out to dinner for my birthday. That is always a challenge with 4 but we made it. It is a great vacation. We will all be sad when it is over and reality arrives. One more day to have fun!

Sea World
Yesterday was a day of Sea World. The kids had a great time. We only had a couple breakdowns due to tiredness but they all seemed to love different parts of it. The shows were very awesome and the kids loved the animals. It was a full day but we also made a trip to the beach at night. Didn't last that long but we had a tired group of kids when we got done. This week is unfortunately just moving by and will be gone before long but hopefully we will all have our own memories to take with us!

The Beach
We are at the beach. The kids are loving it. Riley and Andy are caked in sand and Miss Katie well she would prefer her feet never touch the ground. It is funny to watch. Brianna is happy there also. We picked up my Aunt Billie to join us yesterday. The trip to the airport was a huge deal. You can tell our kids are country bumpkins as they can never see enough "airplanes" . We are staying in a cute little cottage. It is fun and great weather!

Day 2 Vacation
Day 2 of our vacation to CA! MORE AND MORE driving, but we are in San Diego. The kids actually did pretty good. Just the last hour is kind of hard for them but we had lots of snacks so that helped. Riley had wanted to see the desert so that happened for him. We stopped for lunch in Phoenix and to make this world even smaller we meet a woman who actually lived in our small town at home. It was really funny as we discussed people we both knew! More swimming last night a late dinner of pizza in our hotel and to bed! They keep telling us how they love vacation and California! Until later!

Vacation Day 1
Yesterday we started out on our family vacation! We are 8 hours into our drive to CA. Let's just say a car full of 4 kids under 7 leads to some rather loud travel. For the most part they did good and we are all glad we only have 500 miles left, or at least that is what I am told. Brian takes care of that while I take care of keeping track of everything and everybody. I would say the kids favorite part was swimming in the pool at the hotel. Goes to show times never change, what I loved as a kid on vacation, they like the same! Andy had the hardest time sitting but that is to be expected. He is our mile a minute man and it is hard for him to sit. So on to sunny CA! Will post more pictures soon! Until then must pack the car up!
