It is that time of year!

365 Photos- Day 30 Lots of Friends

When I started this 365 Day project a couple years ago I wasn't exactly  sure what I would shot I just wanted to get better. Since then I have become obsessed with finding the ordinary and the daily.  I want to remember these little details of our life.  One day Brianna will not have a bed full of friends that all sleep with her. We tell her goodnight and say prayers and then leave her to put all her friends in their assigned spaces. Brian and I figured out that took too long to wait for!

Brianna knows if an animal is missing and she loves them all. Then again if you know Brianna you know that is so true to who she is.   Another part of our lives I want to remember!

Sunday Photos- Project Weekend

Our weekends have been fairly quiet.  It has been great and this weekend I had a lot of home projects that needed to get done. In the process I found a new handyman who is very willing to learn and get things done. I heard him giving his little brother directions also which is a good training program in our home!

This summer I bought this little dressing table for our bedroom. It is old just the way I like furniture and has become a favorite place for the girls and I to get ready. However, I wasn't digging the old fabric on the stool. Wanted it to say me...so here is me!

I am not a seamstress by any stretch but I had to try to make us a new table runner for February.  So here we go. Believe me this is  not at all that pretty..good thing I can manipulate my camera!

And lastly for today new hat racks...yes on our wall in our room. I am sure Brian is thrilled but I do love my hats!

Favorite Friday Photo

Once a year the cub scouts go swimming in the winter.  This time it was at the YMCA and was fun for everyone. 

I was wondering if Katie had forgot her braveness from the summer but she was back to her mermaid self.

Brian got in a little soaking time also.  When I was looking through pictures I realized I didn't have one of the actual cub scout.  I guess he was just too fast or always on the slide!

Sunday Tea

Every good tea party must start with getting beautiful!

We had cousins over to play and they wanted a "tea" party with real tea!

Years ago the girls received this tea set they could paint. It turned out to be one of the most played with toys.

I wish pictures could tell how this little niece talks it has to be one of the sweetest sounds! 

It didn't take these girls long to get in full swing of playing and taking all their "stuff" out.  It is fun to stand at the door and hear the chatter, listen to the "leaders", hear the followers talk, and hear all the grand plans for the day!

Favorite Friday Photo- A little winter work

Daddy needed a little help refinishing a table. Katie was all about helping...not all about doing her hair!

She lasted out there longer than anyone and it was COLD!  Totally surprised me!

However, Daddy also had his little man helping him.  He is a great worker also but then he was ready for hot chocolate!

I am excited for a new table for us!  Can't wait to see it done!

Family Day for Miss Katie

Six years ago today we saw Miss Katie for the first time.  That day and moment will be forever etched in our minds and hearts.  I loved her while we waited, I loved her the moment I saw her, and I will love her forever!

She has the million dollar smile.  She loves life and all that it holds.  Katie is our happy go lucky child minus that first moment in the morning. She loves her bed:)  She has been so excited for this day!  I know Katie was very loved in Korea. This is a day to say thank you to that special foster Mom in her life. A day to remember a Mom we don't know, but who gave us this beautiful little girl. 

Adoption became a huge part of my soul and heart and it all started with this baby girl. Check out that hair...another memory of trying to make it lay down!!

We were all ready and geared up for the game!  How fun, we were all in our jerseys but no need to take a photo...I could get one next week:)

It was all about orange and blue and we even had a moment of letting Mom photograph us!

However, the mood would not last and we will have to watch "our" team next year!

Four hours later and double overtime there was just one more thing to say "You can't be serious?" that did not just happen!
