Favoite Friday Photo- Ballet...the season's end

This week we ended school as well as some activities.  The biggest one for me was ballet. We had our mini-recital last night and it was wonderful.  So much to be proud of and so many little ones adorable in all the makes ballet beautiful!  I have three different levels of ballet and each shined in their own way!

I have taken many ballet photos this week of some of my dancers.  This is my start of my new photography business. Of course it would not be complete without my beautiful girls and Brianna was the first.  Katie's turn is in the works.

Life is funny with all its twists and turns.  I have no idea what path life is taking me on but I am loving the ride!

Now on to start the SUMMER!!!!!!

Favorite Friday Photo- Spring a crazy time of year...a beautiful time of year

Just a short while ago it was Mother's Day.  A day I spent with my parents at the home I grew up in.  It was just a couple weeks ago but so much has gone on in that short amount of time.

I can't believe I haven't posted all week. Believe me I have taken photos and hope to catch up on my 365 day project this weekend.  We have "graduated" a lot of our children.  Some will climb up the ladder at elementary school, some will go to a new school.  We have done field day, practiced for upcoming programs and shows, and we have ended many activities while we look forward to what I really hope is a "slower" summer!  There is much excitement for change within extended family and time this summer with cousins. Let's hope also for a whole lot of time by the pool!

Sunday Snapshot- Completion

Today we ended two seasons of sports.  The kids loved each of their chosen "games" but I do believe we are all ready for a break.  Riley may disagree as he can't seem to get enough playing time in it seems.  Rest assured fall will be here too soon I am sure.

He did have a really cute little fan come and watch her big cousin.  I have to say crayons may have been more exciting at times!

Miss Bri gave it a go at volleyball this season.  I think she really liked it. It was a very low key team and of course being with friends is always a highlight for her.

We have one more big event tomorrow and then seven more days of school...but who is counting:)

Favorite Friday Post- School Winding Down

A week full of field trips was how we spent our time the past few days.  They came just as summer did for us.  Seems as though we skipped spring!  Andy and Katie went to the zoo and the rides.  The rides are always a hit.  In the summer these rides go for twenty five cents a ride.  That is cheap entertainment.

Oh this little man...think of him driving for real.  Good thing I have a couple of years before that!
Miss Katie gets a little braver each year!

It was a great day and I think we all slept very well last night!

Sunday Snapshot- A Mother's Thoughts

Happy Mother's Day! Hoping you all are having a restful and loving day.  It is and always will be my favorite holiday.  A day about the job that really is the most important to me. A day to celebrate my loves both born of my body and my heart.  A day to once again reflect on how deep my love runs for all my kids and it makes no difference how I meet them or when.

I watched our oldest make one more step closer to manhood this week.  How my heart felt it.  Not that I don't want him to succeed and fly but that I must one day let those wings take flight.

I started my early life not wanting children. I believed at that time that money, power, and my version of success was what would make my world turn.  Many years later I now know what really makes my world turn. It is those eight eyes that look at me each day.

I feel so blessed today but my heart always yearns for those left behind.  I started editing photos for An Orphans Wish a couple months ago.  Each month I am privileged enough to edit photos of children who desperately need a Mom. Each month I fall in love with them and pray that a family comes soon.  That someone sees a photo I edit and their heart longs to hold that child in their arms.  A little boy has been waiting for two years for this moment.  Alec is one of those little boys.  I so pray he too finds parents to love and kiss that sweet face many times a day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Favorite Friday Photo- A Mother's Tea

It was the Girl Scouts annual mother/daughter tea and this year all of us girls would attend.  These two were such the little ladies there.  They love hot tea at home but hot apple cider won out on this day. It was a simple outing with such beautiful little girls running around surrounded by women of different generations.

Looking forward to a weekend filled with big moments as well as simple pleasures!

Hoping your Friday is filled with happiness.

365 photos Day 127 Outside

The kids are off for a couple of days so it is time to start the garden. A couple of goals each day to get more and more planted. The storm was rolling in and it was a race against time and the wind.  I love these days.  Each kid is big enough to hold their own in the garden now...imagine the possibilities!

Sunday Snapshot- First Communion

Today is Brianna's day.  Her first communion.  A day that is about her and she is excited. She looked so beautiful in my sister's dress when we went out to take photos the other night.

I had been thinking of these photos awhile and what I wanted to do.  Practice and more practice hoping to get it right one day:)

Today she will be surrounded by family and friends and give us a chance to celebrate.  We love you Bri and are very proud of you!

Favorite Friday Photo- Bubblish Fun

We have had some wide spread temperatures in the past week.  On this day it was warm enough for some spring time bubbles.  The girls especially love this activity!

The little tubes of bubbles hold no fascination compared to the big bottle of bubbles.

Only a few days after I took these photos we had snow.  It is very welcomed moisture but I have to say I much favor this spring time weather.  We are headed into a very busy month as well as weekend.  Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
