Great Progress Report

Monday we headed to the Children's for Andy's apt. It was a great apt with great news. He has healed very well and we don't have to go back until Oct! So great news. We got to see our ever so popular doctor and his nurse who really was my angel in the hospital. I am amazed at their care for our son to know they will be close by for this journey in his life. We drove longer than we were there and after being up at 5 am everyone was tired but really did well. I was nervous to take them all, but a dear friend went just for the ride and helped with everyone. Life is funny how it all works out in the end.

Speech and other Subjects

We have found out that both Andy and Katie qualify for speech therapy that will eventually move to the preschool. For Andy the reasons are from his cleft and he wants to talk and says so much already that once he learns to work on those sounds our ears will be full. As for Miss Katie her speech delay maybe a result of me and my little friends knowing what she wants without making her work on words. So a little help will do Katie and the rest of us some good.

Potty training is so different with two. It is fun to sit together and rejoice over each other little accomplishments. When a treat is only handed to the productive one the game becomes not so much fun! They are funny on their little potties as they fight over the same book and basically keep busy doing who knows what???

Andy will go back to the dr on Monday for a check up and a hearing test. He is doing well and I do believe that God gave him a battery that is supercharged. He is such a ham and makes friends wherever we are. Makes these trips to the dr's not so challenging!

No pictures this week...so uncommon for me!!

Reading Time

Riley loves to read to Andy and their cute cousin Sam!

Look at our big boy!

These two were dreaming!
At Riley's school they were lucky enough to have Chinese acrobats from Beijing. It was an awesome show. How lucky we were to see them!

New Year Celebration

This past weekend we headed to our adoption agency's New Year Celebration. Those are some of my favorite times. To be with families that are like us is always a breath of fresh air. They had wonderful Asian food and lots of families to enjoy the celebration. We got to see some young girls do some traditional Chinese dances. How I wish my girls had access to these kinds of resources! We even got to see Mr Andy use his chop sticks. At home he always wants a fork , but maybe the moment caught him and he used them! It is pretty cute. After the celebration we got to stay with my sister and her family. Cousin time is always a special time. A trip to Bass Pro was on Riley's list of things to do and Andy growled through the whole store. Us girls, well we went along for the ride:) We were all very tired last night. Traveling is truly an adventure.

Kids Crop

As of Jan I started to sell Creative Memories. Even though I have been making scrapbooks forever it seems I have never headed down this road. It is so much fun being able to help others figure out what to do with those millions of pictures on our computers as well as actually making sure that #4 child has books that he is in. I also want to preserve all those highs ( and lows) of our life! In my thought process of doing this Riley and Brianna had one stipulation. They wanted a kids crop so on Sat we did just that. Riley I have to say sat there the full 3 hours and barely moved just worked so hard. Brianna did very well also and has her own "style":). It is always so much fun to just have one of the "sets" of our kids and explore what the different age levels need. I like these days as these months fly by and I know one day I will not be so "cool" to hang out with!
