Sunday Snapshot- A Hat

One of the things the kids and I love to do is go and look around a thrift shop. You never know what treasures you will find.  The rule is though that we have to take a box full of our "unwanted" goods to be able to shop.  We did this the other day and this hat was among the goodies!

I so wanted it to fit me, after all I love hats! However, it was too small but I knew who it would fit. 

Brianna is not a big hat fan but maybe that will change. She was all about a photo shot with it on.  I love it on her and we had a lot of fun taking photos!

Each year I find a time to go on a "date" with each of our children.  Today was Riley's turn.  It is so much fun to have time to spend with him.  They always seem so different by themselves! 

Favorite Friday Photo-Sewing

These sewing machines were Christmas gifts from Santa and they have been quit a hit.  The seamstresses have been busy at work!

How cute are they working together.  Years ago my sister and I received sewing machines also and I can remember sitting at my Grandma's house the two of us sewing!

We have had a lot of time for "crafting" these past two weeks.  I am ready for routine again but will miss this extra time to be creative!

The girls have been sewing these  little squares , hundreds of them, that my Grandma had left. She must have spent hours cutting them more than likely for a quilt. How happy she must be looking down to see these girls using them!

365 Day Project Day One

 For the past two years I have done a 365 day project of taking a photo a day.  It has been challenging at times as well as thinking what am I going to take photos of today.  However, it has made me see our life in a different way perhaps looking at the little things that make up life.
With that said I am hoping to post these photos on our blog daily for 2013 along with the regular blog posts I do. 
A new year always starts with my Dad's birthday. How lucky we are to have him in our life as Father and Papa!
