Sunday Snapshot-Water

It seems that our summer is full of time with cousins and this week was no exception. I can almost here those boys laughing in the pool this week.

Miss Kate is not a huge fan of the water.  I would say she likes her feet on the solid ground much better. But after a soak in the hot tub with her Aunt she was ready to go.

This pool was full of really fun activities to do.  Riley spent a good deal of time trying  to leap across these lily pads.  I have to say I tried it also and it was not easy. I am grateful I didn't make the photo cut on this event.

Lovin' summer!

This photo was taken with my Canon 60d. 50 mm lens ( boy did I want a longer lens on this day!)

Love her

Photography has changed my life.  It has made me see the world differently but it has also give me something else.  It has given me a little bit of one on one time with children I love.  From my own to my nieces and nephew.  I get to take them on little walks and photograph them as they just be themselves. It creates such precious memories for me.

A little time in the woods with Railyn was fun as she chatted away!

It was a little chilly on this walk but she was such a big three year old!

A little serious time for Railyn and her very special baby!

What a fun time we had Miss Railyn!

Bubbles for all ages

It seems that bubbles bring out the child in all ages of people...

Brian seemed to love the fun of the activity also!

Uncle Shane tried to show the little ones new tricks of bubble blowing.

And with seven little ones around it seemed like a lot of laughter was being heard in the woods surrounding us!

June 4th

Tomorrow is a special day I share with my sister.  It is our birthday. I remember how excited I was the day she was born. Talk about a perfect birthday gift!  Happy Birthday Tam I love you!

It wasn't just a day shared by my sister and I. We also shared it with our cousin and my Godfather. I will always hold Brian very close to my heart and a his memory will always be a very important part of this day. Happy Birthday Brian.

Saturday Garden Journal

It has started the time of the year that we are eating out of our garden. Lots of salads and anything I can think of with spinach and lettuce.

There are some little tomatoes on some of my plants.  I always hope the tomatoes and lettuce come ripe at some of the same time frame.

The beats and carrots have starting growing although I may plant more the middle of the summer for an early fall crop!

This is where you can find me each morning.

Time for some hard work in this garden this year. It is best kind of hard work!

Sunday Snapshot-Summer Sky

This has been a week of fun photography. This week we learned how to take silhouettes in my photography class with Lisa. This has been on my list for a long time to learn.  So I took one of my karate guys outside to practice. It was a lot of fun and the sky was good to me that night!

This was taken with my Canon 60d 50mm lens.

Shutter 1/168 f 5.7 and ISO 100.

Favorite Friday Photo- S'more Fun

Memorial Day weekend was spent with my family in the beautiful Colorado mountains.  One of the highlights of the trip for the seven children was s'more time!  This is my niece Abby...only she would need her cool glasses to keep the smoke out of her eyes!

Riley being the oldest cousin spends a good amount of time helping everyone including his Mom. I think this one may have been mine:)

I am not really sure but am thinking Katie must have been tired at this point in the game!

Papa helping out our nephew with his marshmallow. I think of all the pictures I take the ones with my parents and their grandchildren are my favorite of all.  Their patience and love for their grandchildren is a gift that is priceless.
