Fall is in the air you can tell by our colors. My Mom took this photo which I really appreciate as I don't have a lot with just me and my boys:)

Right out our window the other morning!  Just makes your day better no matter what the day holds!

Through the eyes of a child

A trip to the children's museum with my nieces and kids resulted in a very fun period of time.  A art spot with many recycled "goods" lead this little one to see the world with a different perspective. 

Wouldn't it be nice to see life as a kid just one more time!

Sunday Snapshot- A place and a pumpkin

It was a little bit of a rough day but what better place to talk than in the garden.

I have learned that why our heads are down picking we can talk about the things that really matter. When our hands are busy we are free to talk about the easy subjects and the hard subjects.  There is freedom outside that can not be found in the walls of our house.

Just like the harvest I feel so blessed with this year I too feel so much love for this little man that I am lucky to have in my life and my heart!

And by the way is it really time to harvest pumpkins???

Favorite Friday Photo- Golden Beauties

For weeks I have driven by all the beautiful sunflower fields. I know to many they are just weeds but I love them.  I really wanted one of the girls to go out in the fields for some photos.  Brianna was more than willing if I let her wear what she wanted:)  It was a gorgeous morning out.

The bad news about this is we figured out Brianna is allergic to sunflowers or at least when she is in the middle of a field.  A little Benadryl helped out at home but we did capture just what I had in my mind.

Life does not look like this today. It has been raining a lot here and once again we really needed it.  It feels like a day that is about good books, maybe a new knitting project, and some hot tea. Of course reality will settle in and it will be more a day of chores, homework and whatever needs to be done but girl can dream right!

Little things Thursday-The simple fun of rain

A little rain with a special friend of mine.  We had some rain last month and now we are getting it again! How sweet is a puddle in this dry state of ours.  I never in my life imagined worrying about water like I did this summer so those boots in the rain were worth a photo for sure!

What could be better than some water, boots, and the blessings of parents to just be a kid! 

I love it when kids can just play in the simplest of forms. This little girl is a special friend of mine in her very sweet and quiet ways.

Sunday Post- Special Time

Miss Katie had some special outside time with Mom this past week. Not normally does she like being outside even though we insist on it, but on this day she loved having some special time with Mom.

My garden is one huge mess with weeds but thankfully it is still producing!  The weather here has been so very hot but I hear we are hopefully in for a cool down. With the blink of an eye this outside haven will disappear for me.

As this weekend concludes I am on a scrapbooking retreat. A time with my friends, Mom, and sister to get away and work on all these photos I love so much!  It was fun and very productive. 

Now another week in the wings is on the horizon!

Orange a color of fall

Summer has officially ended and with it a little more time for editing.  A cute baby in an old family suitcase with the color of orange all around.  Won't be long now until we hopefully will see some orange leaves!
